]]> It was the middle of the night when giant panda Li Li started giving birth at Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in Sichuan province. The vets came and were ready to take care of one of the babies that will probably get neglected by the mother.

Twin pregnancies are common in pandas, but the mothers almost always ignore one of the babies and devote to the other. That’s why human help is needed.

See below BBC earth’ video in which the keepers swap the babies so the panda mom could devote to both equally.

BBC’s new series Dynasties, in which David Attenborough goes on a journey to follow the greatest animals of their kind, will premier in BBC soon.

]]> Here’s one adorable and colorful love story. Maura T. Hennelly shared the heartwarming story of her parrots on Twitter and it wasn’t long before we all wanted to know more.

You see, her parrots are not your usual couple. The two birds couldn’t be more different – Kiwi is bright and colorful while his girlfriend Siouxsie rocks a goth look. Still, it was love at first sight for them.

Recently, Maura shared a new Twitter post updating her followers about the happy couple. She wrote: “Remember Kiwi & his goth gf? Well now she’s his goth wife and they have 4 beautiful half goth babies”.

]]> Babies are more similar among themselves than you would ever imagine – regardless of their species. Recently, the internet went crazy about the elephant baby who was filmed trying to learn who to use its trunk for drinking. See it below.

But did you know that the baby elephants actually suck their trunks, just like human babies suck their thumbs? The reason behind this behavior is the same – they are looking for comfort. Much like humans, elephants are born with a strong sucking reflex. It helps them with feeding when they are newborns and they instantly connect sucking with food and mom, which means safety and comfort.
