]]> We know that many strange creatures live deep in the see. It can be pretty scary to think that we don’t know everything that’s happening down there yet. That’s why footage like this is exciting – it helps us understand the marine life a little bit better.

The Exploration Vessel Nautilus crew was lucky enough to shoot the gulper eel moving in front of them. A lot of “whoas” and “that was awesome” can be heard on the footage.

The grand finale was when the eel showed its massive jaws, returned to its original form and swam away. Watch the whole video below.
