Do your pets do this? I have been letting my ferrets explore the corridor leading to our flat (I tripple checked it for holes first) and they love running up and down, but at any sign of “danger” and they dash home. This is a throwback to when Meemoo started to get super chunky with winter weight, and it became clear that he was hogging the food bowl ALLL THE TIME! I had to actually feed them separately to make sure that Feefoo was getting enough 
Feefoo has been doing this a lot lately where he would start to play rough but as soon as he gets pinned back runs to safety
