Buenos Aires-native Camila Castoldi was taking a walk around her neighborhood when she noticed a lost pet poster on a telephone pole. The poster had a photo of a missing cat named Luis and a plea from his worried owners to let them know if someone saw him.

She approached closer to inspect the poster, only to look down and find Luis chilling underneath it. The cat didn’t seem distressed at all and instead wanted to play. Castoldi happily obliged, keeping the cat occupied while she rang his owners. And she also managed to capture all of it on camera.

Castoldi later told The Dodo that the owners came right away and were happy to reunite with their lost pet finally. Louis was missing for four days and his family started to worry something might have happened to him.

Luckily, Louis was better than ever and didn’t feel any consequences of his adventure. Not only that, but he also became a minor social media celebrity thanks to a clip posted by Castoldi.

“My sister got a call from animal control today. Her cat Tom-Tom has been found. He was missing for almost five years,” Cindy B. shared on her Twitter. “She rescued Tom-Tom from a shelter and had him chipped. (Pretty sure the shelter required it.) He lived with her for about seven years. They were in the process of moving within the same town when he disappeared. She searched for him.”

He was found in a canyon about 15 miles from his home. However, Tom-Tom was extremely happy when he saw his human mom.

“She thinks he recognized her,” she added. “He purred as soon as she picked him up. He’s adjusting to being back with his family – my nieces were very small when he disappeared and they have new pets. But so far, he seems pretty chill. He’s old and hopefully his last years can be more comfortable.”
