]]>That’s where Ashley Schanz comes in. She’s an artist who uses pencil and ink to draw animal portraits. However, besides being talented, she also has a big heart. She decided to donate the funds she receives from the portraits to charity.
The artist began her project by creating a Facebook profile called Schanz’s Sketchbook where people submit images of thier pet and she draws them.
She charges between $20-$25 for a hand-drawn picture of the pets. When Schanz finishes, she sends a photograph of the image and mails the original copy to the customer.
“I’m trying to save the world, one portrait at a time! As Covid has rocked the volunteer industry, this is a fun and creative way for you to give back as well. Once I finish an entire sketchbook worth of drawings, I give the money raised to a selected organization,” Schanz shared on Bored Panda.
What a heart-warming idea, right? If you want to see some of the portraits she created, check out the gallery below. Don’t forget to follow her work and support her humane heart.
