]]>Nika and Kira live in Madison, Wisconsin with their owners, Kaitlin and her husband Jonathan, and they have a very popular Instagram profile with nearly 200,000 followers.
“Nika is such a loving and caring dog. She’s pretty laid back except when it comes to her squeaky toys as she’ll hoard those in her bed,” Kaitlin told Boots and Arrow. “Kira is VERY energetic and needy. She does laps around Nika and picks on her like any little sister-from-another-mister would do.”

So I went to the hardwood store and bought wood, screws, and a jigsaw then went to work! You can see what I did in our stories. Once I was done, the million dollar question…what were the dogs going to think of them?! They surprisingly liked them and stood on them for awhile. I think they liked the extra height they got for their squirrel patrol!

BEHIND THE SCENES: Every time it’s one of the dogs birthday’s I sing them “Go Shawty, it’s SHERBERT day. We gonna party like its SHERBERT day! So I finally went to the store and got some raspberry sherbet to help celebrate! We had to do three different takes/re-scoops to get this shot cause she kept biting the frickin sherbet. I mean, who bites ice cream! She also had an awesome pink “beard” that she rocked for a solid hour before we noticed because the other dogs kept trying to lick her to death! 
Are you a fan of baths? #WhatTheRubberDuck Bathtub in our room at @HotelRED . BEHIND THE SCENES: The sentence “my dogs HATE baths” is a big understatement! In fact, the last time I gave them a bath in the kiddie pool in our backyard, I kept waiting for police to knock on my door to check on a compliant call accusing me of animal abuse due to the noises coming from their mouths. I kept talking really loud saying things like “you’re fine,” “it’s just a bath,” and “stop being so dramatic” so that people knew I wasn’t hurting them. They managed to squirm out of my grasp at one point, run out of the pool and do zoomies around the yard in which I ran around chasing them. Once caught I was trying to get them back in the pool, they dug their heels in causing me to fall butt and back first into the pool of soapy water. Needless to say, this bath in the photo had no water but I put a bunch of bubbles on them. Bubbles are apparently Husky approved, hence the smiles.

BEHIND THE SCENES: So to further the conversation on embarrassing things that have happened to you from my last post… This photo was shot in a puddle on a dead end road in our subdivision! It just got done raining so I figured no one would be outside to watch my dog mom crazy! Welllllll…five cars drove by with one rolling down the window to yell “Adorable!,” an old couple walked by with the lady saying “That is too cute” and the man saying “Are you playing in the puddle or just taking a photo?!,” and another person walked by giving me this “WTF?!” look!
