]]> If you don’t believe that pets are able to tell what’s going on around them, you’ve probably never seen a cat or dog who needs to go to the vet. They react completely differently to these stressful situations. While dogs will explicitly let you know that they don’t want to go and even cry about it, cats have a different strategy. It’s the strategy called: if I can’t see you, you can’t see me.

Writer Ashley Perez has recently posted a series of photos of her cat James on Twitter showing him hiding and hoping that the doctor won’t be able to spot him. Here’s James.

Perez wasn’t sure if this was only James’ way of dealing with the vet or it was something many cats do. Many people replied with photos of their own cats, showing that this is kind of a universal thing after all. Below are our favorites.
