]]> The House of Oakley is a Canada-based wildlife rehabilitation family who rescues and rehabilitates animals. Their story began with rescuing squirrels, and now they are rehabilitating a family of raccoons. However, the most excited about the new friends were their dog.

“My dog Ashlyn wasn’t really sure of the trio when they first arrived,” they wrote on their Instagram. “However now that a few days have passed she has adopted them like they’re her own puppies. She is extremely protective of them and stops on our walks if one lags behind. The kits are doing extremely well now and are already starting to grow. So daily exercise has become part of our routine.”

Mom 👩‍💻 – "This is the face of a happy and proud Momma. When my friends made the time to visit from out of town and snapped this picture of me in all my glory, how could you not share it?! The trio is doing amazing and their rehabilitation is progressing at lighting speed. They are climbing bigger trees, they are super healthy, off the formula and eating like champs. I can't tell you how grateful I am to watch them grow and have a hand in raising all Mother Nature's creatures when they are in desperate need of care. Life is truly a blessing!! The smile I wear on my face is one I cannot wipe off. I'm doing exactly what I love to do and I am so excited you all enjoy this journey with me. Thank you to all of you for your continued support and thank you to my absolutely amazing friend Christine for snapping the most incredible candid photo of me with Storm, Rain and Hailey. I hope you all have a great Sunday."
