]]>Known for her delicate style of illustrating, her work features tender, whimsical, and furry cute animals colored in soft, earthly colors. According to Stajner, she enjoys painting these characters the most, capturing their minute details (from fur to whiskers).
Each illustration begins with some preparations, through animal studies or observation of animals in real life, after which a lot of sketching is done. The final painting is made mainly with watercolors and gouache, as well as colored pencils, with some digital finishing touches.
Based in Ljubljana, Slovenia, Stajner also runs her own Etsy store. In an interview with Lake she reflected that her dream project would include drawing bunnies, squirrels, fawns, and hedgehogs for paper products. “Like greeting cards, wrapping paper, planners, and other similar things,” she noted. “Drawing and designing, having that creative control over the product line. And not having a tight deadline or problems with people who will help you execute your idea. A dream project would be a non-stressful one.”
Inspired by the children illustrations of illustrators like Beatrix Potter and Lisbeth Zwerger, Stajner’s work will remind you of the joys of childhood. Show her some love on Instagram.

One time, when I decided to ask people to send me their cat pics in an Instagram story, I got like 150+ messages in one day. When I choose a pic for drawing, I’m looking for awkward poses, stupid cat looks, interesting situations, etc.”

]]>These adorable tall animals that we absolutely love thanks to their unusually long necks, were a great inspiration for this artist who likes to imagine different animals in our society. Keigo is drawing what their life would look like, if these animals lived among us and the results are very funny.
“Speaking of drawing, I’m interested in animals that have extreme physical characteristics. It all started from the point where I tried to incorporate those characteristics like “too slow”, “too long” into a drawing, and expressed what happens when those characteristics are incorporated into human society,” the artist told in an interview for Bored Panda.
Keigo recently created a series of illustrations with a sloth as the main character, but the stars of his new projects are giraffes. They are playing pool and tennis, swimming, running a marathon, driving a car and many other things that they’re not able to do in real life.

Even though he creates detailed illustrations featuring many different dog breeds, Hed claims he has no favorites.
“I haven’t spent much time with any of these breeds, and as far as looks go, they’re all interesting in their own way.”
