In an interview with Hello Bark, Mocha’s owner shared some know-how about the breed. “They do need a lot of grooming,” she explained. “So I always make time (even if it is just for 10 minutes) just to brush her fur so she doesn’t get any knots. You would be surprised how easily and quickly their coats can get knotted.”

“I’m a first time dog owner as well and there is nothing that I can say about going against it,” she added. “I also recommend any first time Pomeranian owners to get them used to being groomed and brushed due to their long coat, they need regular grooming.”

A registered therapy animal, Norbert and his mother/owner, Julie Steines (Freyermuth) have volunteered at nursing homes, hospitals, special events, and schools over the past eight years. “My mission as a therapy dog is simple: to spread smiles, inspire kindness, and bring comfort to those in need,” reads the pup’s website. “In addition to my time, I have donated thousands of dollars and Norbert products to charitable causes. Philanthropy is the foundation of the Norberthood.”
