GCCB Rescue & Adoption is a Chicago, Illinois-based non-profit that provides shelter for homeless exotic cage birds and tries to find them a new home. They run an adoption center in Villa Park, Illinois, so if you would like to own a protective parrot as Kiwi, give them a visit. You can also send a donation to support their cause, considering they are a 100% volunteer-run organization.

]]>Florida-native David Everett recently shared a clip that shows his 14-year-old cockatoo Daisymae playing the piano. The parrot showcases some impressive music skills despite playing only with his beak and manages to slide down the keyboards like a pro.
According to Everett, Daisymae has been polishing her piano skills for more than 10 years, starting to play on the family grand piano. Later, the parrot got her own piano that was more suitable for her size.

]]>Tydus is an adorable 5-year-old Alaskan Malamute who garnered more than 160 thousand followed on Instagram thanks to his lovely appearance and impressive stature. Trez, on the other hand, is an African grey parrot and Tydus’ loyal companion. He often has guest appearances on Tydus’ Instagram feed, but you won’t see them posing together that often.
Their owner explained in an interview with Hello Bark that the dog and the parrot are both dominant, which is why their friendship is a bit complicated.
“They don’t really get along that well. Trez is very dominant and won’t think twice about biting one of Tydus’ paws. We always monitor them and would never leave them alone with each other.”
In spite of this, we believe that the boys care about each other more than they’re willing to show.
“Tydus starts howling as soon as he hears an ambulance or whenever he is bored. Trez will then pitch in and say: “Tydus stop it. Good boy!”. Trez comforts him by talking to him while they are alone,” their owner said.
