Follow @campgoldenyears where he came from“In order to take Homer home and foster him, I want to make sure that he trusted me,” Kanaka shared on The Dodo. “So what I did is I sat next to him on the grass to see if he will let me pet him. I was there for at least an hour…But it was all worth it.”
When Homer finally warmed up a little bit, Kanaka was able to take him home, however, the next morning was also rough; the doggie was still frightened. Until one morning everything changed.
“It took him two and a half months to wag his tail,” he added. “And it’s quite an experience to see that happen.”

). . .PS I love him no matter his breed but knowing only helps as we work to bring him out of his feral state. As a foster, you eventually have to let them go to their new family and I want him to have the best chance of succeeding

Sorry you were treated this way, neglected, scared, in pain for so long. I'm sorry that on this journey to heal it will require more pain. I know telling you it will be okay won't help so I promise to show you. You now have a community of people that will be there for you at every turn. UPDATE: Homers in surgery now. It will be a lengthy operation and he'll need to stay the night (potentially two). He's being put back together, neutered and microchipped.
