Wild animals won’t be a part of circus performances in the UK starting in February, 2020, as the government has recently announced. The decision was made based on “ethical grounds” and the surveys that showed that the public preferred the show without animal acts.

Ireland and Scotland have announced similar bans a few months ago and Wales is considering them, too.
Animal activists have been fighting to ban animals from circuses for decades. The British circuses will rely on clowns, acrobats and dog acts to entertain the audience in the future.
