9-Year-Old Boy Paints Pet Portraits to Help Shelter Animals

Pavel Abramov is a 9-year-old boy from Arzamas city in Russia with an unbelievable talent and a huge heart! This young man paints beautiful paintings of pets and gives them to owners in exchange for food and other supplies that the animal shelter in his town needs.

The brilliant idea came to Pavel’s mind a year ago, when he lost his beloved four-legged pet named Barsik. The boy wanted to help animals in need and that’s why he started a project called “Kind paintbrush,” with the help of his mother Ekaterina Bolshakova.

Thanks to his amazing talent, Pavel is able to help the local shelter by painting animal portraits. In return, pet owners have to donate kilograms of dog food, dog collars, medicine, and other things that these animals need. Pavel’s project already became widely popular and people from all over Russia are ordering their pet portraits and making their contributions. He even sent his artwork to foreign counties such as Spain and Germany.

Pavel and his mother also manage a group on Russian social media site, VK, called “What a little volunteer is capable of?” and they’re trying to educate and show people what each individual can do to help animals in need.

At such a young age, Pavel is setting a great example for all of us, so make sure to follow and support his work.
