A Stray Dog Jumped Into This Couple’s Car and Refused to Get Out

Garrett Golden and Emily Romano didn’t plan on having a dog, but Buddy the Pitbull found his way to their hearts. One day, when they were coming home from yoga, they opened the gate and saw a tail just swoosh into the truck. They were both surprised and scared at the same time, but the dog was friendly.

“He just kinda looked at me, and was like, super chill, just like, ’Let’s hang out.’,” Buddy’s dad told The Dodo. But there was one problem; Buddy didn’t want to get out of the truck.

“We tried to get him out, and it took us quite a while. But he eventually came out,” Romano revealed. “When I found out that he didn’t in fact belong to anyone, I was like, ’We just got a dog!’”

But, sadly, after three weeks Buddy disappeared. He was chasing some little animal and got lost in the woods. His mom was so devastated, so she began looking for him in every animal shelter in their home town. Fortunately, Buddy was found.

“When I got him back, it really did solidify that he was meant to be our dog,” she said.
