Cats come in all shapes and sizes, and the internet loves them all. Whether they’re big and fluffy or small and cuddly, internet users can’t resist becoming overwhelmed with their cuteness. So, it doesn’t come as a surprise that Midas, an adorable kitty from Turkey, immediately became an internet sensation once its owner Canis Dosemeci started sharing photos of her on Instagram.
But Midas didn’t win over social media users for just being a cute kitty cat. It was also because she is unlike any other cat, thanks to her two sets of ears. That’s right; instead of two pointy ears, Midas has four of them.
An unusual genetic mutation caused Midas to grow pair of normal cat ears and then one smaller pair just in front of them. What makes this occurrence even more fascinating is that each ear is fully functional. Her human took the kitty to a veterinarian who determined all four ears have a direct connection to the ear canal. Amazing!
Aside from her four ears, Midas is just like any other cat. She likes to play, take naps, and cuddle with her human. According to Dosemeci, the cute kitty is also very friendly and enjoys the company of her bigger sisters Zeynep and Suzy, who are golden retrievers.
