Albinism is defined as “congenital absence of any pigmentation or coloration in a person, animal or plant, resulting in white hair and pink eyes in mammals”. Albinism occurs across thousands of species and, in animals, it can reduce the survivability as they are unable to protect themselves from the sun or camouflage and hide from predators.

Some of the reasons albinism occurs are the genetic mutation, living conditions, age, diet, injury, etc.

But albino animals look so unique and magnificent! Don’t you think?
