We all know that cats are always out there actively looking for trouble. But sometimes this habit of theirs gets them in sticky situations that they can’t get out of alone. At this point, all they are left with is to turn to their humans for help.
One cat owner recently documented how their British shorthair named Benny thought it would be fun to jump into a 5-foot vase. But, once inside, the feline realized he couldn’t get out.
In a reel shared on Instagram, Benny can be seen helplessly sitting at the bottom of the vase and asking his human to save him with sad meows. But, he doesn’t get away with it easily, receiving his fair share of scolding before being saved.
The post ended up getting quite the attention among Instagram users, receiving 250K likes since being shared earlier in August. A lot of them also had something to say about the whole situation in the comments section.
“Cats have no accountability whatsoever … they get in situations like this and are like “I can’t believe this giant vase decided to trap me in here!” one user wrote.
“He’s clearly sorry and doesn’t want to talk about it,” another added.
We hope that Benny learned his lesson, although it wouldn’t surprise us if he got himself in the same situation all over again. Cats are just like that.
