Cats need refreshment on hot summer days just like humans do. But while plain water will do just fine, you should think about treating your feline with a refreshing catnip cocktail that she will possibly enjoy even more.
In a recent reel posted on Instagram, user Leon “The Cat Dad” shared an easy recipe for a catnip cocktail that he makes regularly for his black feline named Omen.
To make the catnip cocktail, you need catnip, coffee filter, water, and a few cubes of ice. You start by placing a coffee filter over a cup and then putting some catnip in it. Next, pour boiling water over the catnip and make sure to dip the coffee filter in a few times.
Finally, add ice cubes and wait until they melt and the cocktail reaches a temperature safe for your cat to drink before sprinkling some catnip on the top and serving it to the feline.
“I promise you, they will love this,” Leon “The Cat Dad” says in the video that was viewed almost eight million times and received 236K likes since being shared back in February.
