Meet Bruno, the cat who loves standing on his hind legs whenever he wants food. The way he poses and the cute expression on his face may be the reasons why he got chubby.
The adorable cat was surrendered to Wright-Way Rescue in Illinois in April because he wasn’t meshing very well with the children in the family. The staffers at the shelter think it had more to do with his 25-pound weight.
“At 25-plus pounds, he really needs to lose at least 10 pounds if he is going to live to be an old man,” Erin Thomas, Wright-Way Rescue staff, told The Dodo. “We are currently taking it one pound at a time. I believe his weight is a result of being ‘overloved.’”
Besides his human pose, Bruno has other weird habits like wanting company while he eats, and drinking only when there are several water bowls placed throughout the house.
He may be choosy about certain things but he likes to be around with people he loves as much as possible. Currently, he’s in a foster home where he loves hanging out with humans but he needs a forever home with a family who will love him unconditionally.
Bruno may be best in a home with no little children and a family who will keep him active and playful in order for him to continue his weight loss program.
