The Reason Cats Can Move Their Ears

Cats are interesting and intriguing creatures. They are a common pet choice but are a much more independent act so much different than dogs.

It’s the little things about cats that puzzle us the most. For example, did you know that cats have 32 individual muscles in each ear? That’s a lot! One of the benefits of so many muscles is the ability to move each ear independently and to move them in the different direction than the body.

Cats use their ears to reflect the mood. Cats’ ears take different positions when they are angry, scared, playful, bored, etc. Pay more attention next time if you’d like to understand felines better.
