Cats have all that it takes to be great dancers. They are nimble, elegant, and capable of performing all sorts of dazzling moves and still keeping their balance. But while they don’t showcase their dance moves often, when they do, it is almost always amazing.
TikTok user @mycatispeople recently shared a viral video in which their fluffy feline Hubert is busting out some pretty nifty dance moves. As soon as his owner asks Hubert to dance, the cat immediately jumps on the table and performs a choreography that is strikingly similar to the “moonwalk, “a dance move popularized by late pop superstar Michael Jackson.
“He hopes you like his dance dance!,” @mycatispeople wrote in the caption of the video.
The clip received 1.3 million views in just a few days, while thousands of TikTok users shared in the comments section how amazed they were. He also received a nickname “meowchael Jackson.”
“Show your pretty paw! Moonwalk. Moonwalk like Michael Jackson!,” one TikTok user commented.
“The choreo we didn’t know we needed,” another added.
Responding to some of the comments, Hubert’s owner shared that the cat is “quite a performer” and enjoys showing off his skills. They also added that he is “self-taught.”
