Artist Nick Filippou is a cat dad who came up with an idea to transform his feline’s adventures into comics. I iz Cat illustrates Minnie’s life, however, this time, Filippou presented all the struggles an owner needs to go through just to makes his little fur baby take its pill.
“I’ve given pills to my own cat and some shelter cats I volunteer at,” the artist told Bored Panda. “It’s never a fun experience, haha. It’s kind of always been a battle.”
You don’t need to have a veterinary degree to give a pill, because I iz Cat comics is here for the rescue. “Little tricks [like] scuffing, wrapping the cat in a blanket, and popping the jaw open behind the back teeth,” he added. “Still, once the pill goes in the mouth, it always pops back out, haha. That’s the battle.”
Filippou had two cats, Minnie and Sylvia, who sadly passed away last year.
“She was a tortoiseshell cat with three legs. I adopted both of them at the same time about four years ago. Sylvia had some serious tortitude… but she was a loyal and very cute cat. I miss her every day.”
