In 2013, Ralph Lauren designer, Yena Kim and her partner decided to dress up Bodhi, an 8-year-old Shiba Inu dog, in men’s clothing just for fun.
“Immediately Bodhi’s face lit up and he started posing in 45-degree angles, we just had to capture it,” Kim told WABC.
She shared the first photo of Bodhi on social media and the next day, she was immediately contacted by GQ magazine.
Kim said her world suddenly changed, noting, “Suddenly there was a dog out there and he dresses better than you!”
Since then, the handsome dog has been featured in campaigns for Casper, Coach, Ted Baker, and many more. He has more than 350k Instagram followers to date.
According to WABC, Kim was recently asked to stylize an entire line of menswear for Express. Bodhi was dressed for “nine-to-night” series, wearing a tailored Express shirt for the event. The income from endorsements and product campaigns have allowed Kim to quit her job and dress her dog in men’s clothing full time.
