There’s nothing quite like building the house of your dreams, and in Devan Carter’s case that means having a lot of houseplants. She’s the mastermind behind the Instagram page The Brick House Jungle, and she’s using her plants to give her boho homo a natural feel.
Carter lives with her husband a gold retriever in the mountains of North Carolina, where they’re trying to build their dream home. Their life wasn’t always as stable, and they moved six times over the course of seven years, changing many homes and apartments before finding one that worked.
Carter is a speech and language pathologist who owns a rental property business with her husband. She’s a huge fan of bohemian décor style, and she enjoys welcoming people into her home via her Instagram page, which is now followed by almost 200,000 people.
Carter’s page initially started its life as a “plantstagram” and her impressive plant collection is one of the reasons why so many followers love getting a sneak peek inside her home. She now owns around 60 different plants, and some of them have been around for years. Carter started collecting them during her college years, when she used to treat herself by buying a new plant every time she passed a big exam.
