Penelope is a sweet dog who is very excited to meet his new baby sister. Although they won’t be meeting face-to-face until she’s born in a few more weeks, the pup already adores the baby.
The little dog lives in Brazil with her owners, Juliana and her family. Juliana is 34 weeks pregnant and it seems the dog knows there’s a new member of the family on the way.
“I think she knows, yes,” Juliana told The Dodo. “She feels like there’s something different. We set up the little nursery room and she goes in and sits under the crib. She’s always been very needy and affectionate, but toward me, it has increased a lot.”
Recently, as Juliana was sitting on the couch, she was surprised to see Penelope approached her and began to snuggle her tummy. She was touched by the dog’s gesture of affection toward her unborn baby. “It’s the first time she’s done this,” she shared. “It was very emotional.”
After Juliana posted the video on Facebook, it quickly went viral with nearly 2 millions views.
“I’m sure Penelope will be a great big sister,” Juliana added.
