Animal shelter Stray Rescue of St. Louis in St. Louis, Missouri, recently shared a heartbreaking story about a white puppy who was left tied to a park bench by his previous owners. But fortunately, the story has a happy ending.
In a video shared on Facebook, Stray Rescue of St. Louis staffers are seen approaching a part of the park with picnic benches during a pouring rain. At first, it appears no one is there, but soon, a white figure can be spotted among the green benches.
It turned out that someone left a dog all alone there and even tied him to a bench so he couldn’t follow them. The pupper was initially cautious when the rescuers approached but soon realized they were there to actually help him.
“He was so brave when we first approached, but then as soon as we got in the Jeep he curled up on Donna’s lap and let out a deep sigh – that sigh said so much, “Stray Rescue of St. Louis wrote in the caption of the video.
Stray Rescue of St. Louis staffers gave the dog a new name, Wilburn, and went on to help him get rid of ringworms while also providing him all the other treatments he needed. Wilburn is now a lot happeir and is already in forster care while waiting for his foerever happy home.
“He’ll never have to be lonely or muster up that much bravery ever again, “Stray Rescue of St. Louis added.
