Animal lovers were recently moved by a TikTok video showing a shelter dog’s heartwarming reaction after he came to his new home and realized he was finally safe.
The video, which got more than two million views, shows a dog slowly approaching a blanket in the middle of the living room. The pupper then sits down and looks around in disbelief, still unsure how he should react.
“Picking up your newest foster dog from the shelter and watching them realize they’re finally safe,”
the @twogingerpibbles wrote in the video.
“Actually crying. Such a sweet baby who deserves all the love,” one TikTok user shared in the comments section of the video.
“The gentle little sniffs to make sure it’s not a dream, and then a peaceful gaze,” another added.
After the video went viral, @twogingerpibbles shared some details about the dog’s story with Newsweek. According to TikToker, who is animal shelter volunteer based in North Carolina, the dog, named Bambi, was saved from euthanasia list.
Bambi needed some time to get accustomed to being in a different environment but he has been thriving and showing his playful personality once he learned that his life changed for the better.
