One brave dog recently ran for four miles in order to get help after his owner was involved in a crash and was left stranded in a mountain region of northeastern Oregon. The story about the dog’s bravery was recently shared by the Baker County Sheriff’s Office on their official Facebook page.
According to the social media post, the man was traveling with his four dogs to a campsite where his family was located. But at one point, he “failed to negotiate a curve, causing the vehicle to plummet off the embankment. “One of his dogs, pupper named Blue, took it upon itself to get help, running for four miles to the campsite, where he found the man’s family, at which point they knew something was wrong.
The next day, the man’s family found the car and contacted 911 as the car was located in an unapproachable terrain. The man was saved and transported to the hospital while his other three dogs were also alive and well.
“The three remaining dogs were located alive at the crash scene,” Baker County Sheriff’s Office wrote in the post while also sharing the photo of the heroic dog.
