Donut the Pigeon was adopted by his owner in July 2022, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. He became a huge sensation thanks to his picture-perfect white feathers and adorable personality, which shines brightly in every funny clip his owner shares with the world.
Like most domestic pigeons, Donut most likely descended from the wild rock pigeon or rock doves. Judging by his color, he’s most likely a King pigeon, which are instantly recognizable thanks to their distinctive white color, since they’re descendants of rock doves.
Even though it’s not common to keep pigeons as pets, they can be a great choice for the right person and offer many benefits when compared to more popular domesticated bird species, such as parrots.
