Everyone is Loving This Dog With the Longest, Weirdest Beard

Meet Nuts, a 2-year-old pup who was often mistaken for a much older dog all because of his weird beard.

Nuts is a mini Griffon and this type of breed naturally has more fur on its face than on the rest of their body. Tatiana Kovalenok, Nuts’ owner, didn’t really think his beard was extraordinary until people started reacting on it.

“It became noticeable at his 8 months,” Kovalenok told The Dodo. “I never actually paid attention to his beard until I started receiving comments from my followers on Instagram.”

“Almost every day when we walk, we get reactions from random people regarding his appearance and his beard,” Kovalenok explained. “Kids usually say that he’s a ‘funny dog’ or ‘looks like a grandpa.’ Older people always mention him as a stylish dog, saying something like, ‘Look at the [mustache] and beard he has!’ Some people call him hipster or even Chewbacca.”

Aside from his beard, Nuts often think he’s a human being. “When I lay on my bed, he jumps up, lays on his back beside me and puts his head on a pillow — just like a real human,” Kovalenok shared.

Despite his unusual appearance, Nuts is a typical happy-go-lucky dog and his family loves him just the way he is.
