Flora Forager has been in love with nature for as long as she can remember, and she’s now using her art to make it come alive in a new way. This talented botanical artist enjoys collecting flowers and plants and arranging them into show-stopping works of art.
Flora Forager is the nickname of Bridget Beth Collins, a botanical artist and nature lover who lives in Seattle with her husband and three sons. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from Seattle Pacific University, but life took her in a different direction when she discovered botanical art.
She attracted thousands of followers when once started sharing her floral creations with the world. She uses foliage and flowers to put together magical scenes and finds them everywhere from sidewalks, meadows, and woods in her neighborhood to her own small garden.
Flora Forager’s floral “paintings” come together pretty quickly, and it takes her less than an hour to complete smaller ones, but she puts much more time into coming up with ideas beforehand.
“The time and effort is really in the imaginative thinking before I get started. Once I have an idea, and the right flowers, it doesn’t take me long to put it together. I generally keep flowers that may wilt in water as I’m working. Sometimes I have to replace flowers with fresher ones as I create,” she told Floret Flowers.
