Fruits & Veggies That Are Good for Your Dog

Fruits and vegetable are full of vitamins and minerals that can be very beneficial for your dog’s health. However, there are also some that be extremely harmful for your dog. Never feed your dog avocados, grapes, onions, garlic, and unripe tomatoes.

Here’s a list of healthy options for your furry friend.

Bananas

This delicious fruit is rich in fiber, potassium, magnesium, and vitamins B6 and C. Just remember to peel the banana before serving it to your dog. Don’t feed your dog more than half a banana per day because they are high in sugar.

Carrots

Carrots are not only a healthy snack for humans, they are also great for dogs as well. Most dogs absolutely love carrots, so it’s a great substitute for traditional dog treats.

Pumpkin

This plant is high in fiber and is also great for your dog’s digestive system. Be sure that the pumpkin you serve to your pet is cooked and not sweetened or spiced.

Apples

Dogs love apples and they are full of antioxidants, dietary fiber, vitamin A, and vitamin C. Make sure to remove the core and seeds, as they contain cyanide, which is poisonous.
