Some celebrity pets are so adorable that they become as popular as their famous owners, and Glen Powell’s pup is the next one in line. The charming rescue dog named Brisket found his way into everyone’s hearts after joining Powell on the set of his new movie Twisters.
Powell is busy promoting Twisters right now, and he recently broke the internet by sharing a photo posing with Brisket behind the scenes. He showered him with praise in his Instagram caption, saying he’s destined to be a star.
“Shortly after being adopted, @hotbrisket joined the cast of Twisters and was quickly called ‘the Lassie of his generation.’ Rumors are swirling of him leading a Homeward Bound reboot that would crown him as ‘Hollywood’s King of the Animal Kingdom,’” he wrote on Instagram.
Brisket has been by his side every step of the way for the past year, after being adopted from the Labelle Foundation last summer. The terrier poodle mix has joined him on sets of several high-profile projects, and he felt right at home behind the scenes of Twisters, even sitting in the director’s chair.
Powell previously told People that “every department was taking care of Brisket” while he was filming his latest action blockbusters, especially his co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones. With 35,000 Instagram followers under his belt, Brisket is already a star in his own right, and Powell claims he even gets recognized by people on the streets of New York.
