Guy Dressed as Batman Has Rescued Stray Animals and Helped Them Find Forever Homes

Batman4Paws is a non-profit organization that rescues and transports animals in need to their forever homes throughout Florida and beyond. Transports are done personally by Chris Van Dorn, aka Batman, using any means necessary.

His mission was born when his dad adopted a rescue dog named Mr. Boots, aka Robin. The dog was transported to them via plane by a nonprofit called PilotsnPaws. Mr.Boots was found wandering around the woods, covered in fleas and ticks. Inspired by Mr. Boots’ story, Batman decided to help other animals in need too. At this time, he was on the final stretch of earning his Private Pilots License so he came up with a way of taking his driving and flying skills and combining it with his love for animals.

“As a child I looked up to the values that superheroes such as Batman reflected and thought that would be the perfect vessel to embody the spirit of goodwill. Thus the crazy idea of Batman4Paws was born,” he wrote on his website.

“I would help rescue animals in need anyway I can, all while dressed as the Dark Knight himself and becoming a symbol for helping those in need.”

If any one in the southeast area would like to adopt this senior bonded pair Batman would be happy to transport them to you. Here’s their story below and shoot Batman a message if interested in giving them a good loving furever home! Message from daughter: Sadly, my mom is in the progressive stages of Multiple Sclerosis and can no longer care for her two senior dogs, which she has had since they were puppies. She will not surrender them to Pet Alliance because she wants to know that they are going to a home that will love and care for them as she did; however, it is extremely difficult for her to meet their needs now. One of the dogs is a 12 year old female, AKC-registered Great Pyranese (with papers) named Fiona, and the other dog is a 10 1/2 year old male named Laddie, who is a yellow lab/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix with a docked tail. These two dogs are bonded and it would be ideal for them to stay together; however, a loving home that has another dog or owner who is home most of the time would be good for Laddie. He is not an “alpha dog” and does not like to be completely alone. Fiona is used to living in colder climates for most of her life and needs a home with A/C, as her fur makes it easy for her to overheat in the Florida heat. Both dogs are housebroken and have been great with other dogs, cats and kids their whole lives. They are both spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccines, with no special diet requirements.
