Hayley Warburton loves spending every free moment in nature, and she found a way to channel her love for the great outdoors into art. She specializes in painting wildlife on recycled wood, and many of her creations are inspired by insects.
Warburton is a talented artist from Hull, Yorkshire, who enjoys painting on sustainably sourced wood slices and reclaimed wood boards. She loves spending a lot of time outdoors, enjoying nature, and carefully observing everything that goes on around her.
She has a special talent for transforming everything she sees into art, and her paintings pay homage to many different wildlife species. She’s a huge fan of insects, as well, and we’ve seen her immortalize bees, butterflies, and ladybugs through her amazing paintings.
Since nature happens to be her favorite subject, it’s extremely important for Warburton to keep her art as sustainable as possible. All of her paintings are hand-painted because she wanted to give them a natural feel, and she’s using sustainably sourced wood every step of the way.
“All the wood I use comes from recycled and sustainable sources, including recycled off-cuts, fallen branches, and coppiced woodlands. I try to source my materials locally where possible, using recycled wood yards,” she writes on her Etsy page.
