Kids want to be friends with every animal they see. This often leads to some unlikely friendships like the one showcased by TikTok user named Erin in her latest video.
Erin recently shared a clip that shows her son cuddling up with a huge water buffalo. The animal is lying on the ground and seemingly napping while the little boy is hugging it and petting it.
“He loves his buffalo,” Erin wrote in the caption of the video.
The video received more than one million views in less than a week, with social media users being overwhelmed by its adorable nature.
“That is very cute and awesome!,” wrote one TikToker in the comment section.
“That made me cry!! We all love some kind of animals for so many different reasons,” added another.
Because the buffalo didn’t move much in the video, some users wondered if everything was okay with the animal. They believed the buffalo was sick and that the boy was comforting it. Luckily, that is most definitely not the case.
Erin explained in one of the responses that the buffalo is not ill, and just likes being pampered.
“She’s fine, just loving the attention,” the TikToker clarified.
