Hedgehogs are cute when they are little, and they don’t stop being cute once they grow up. This makes people want to adopt them as pets, but that’s actually not a good idea.

Next, even if it may be legal to own one where you live, you should know that hedgehogs are solitary creatures who prefer to interact only with each other and only during breeding season.
This means that they are unlikely to be as cuddly as you would expect from a pet and that they won’t like your other pets.
It’s unfortunate, but if you wanted to get a hedgehog, you should probably consider other pet options.
