Dogs are a lot smarter than we think. When they have something they want, they will find a way to get it, even if that means resorting to tricks. A recent video shared by @homer_the_hounddog on TikTok is a great example of that.
The video starts with Homer the Hound Dog enjoying snuggles with two kids on the couch. However, the message posted across the video indicates that things are not how they seem and that Homer has some other intentions.
“You’d think he’s trying to snuggle by the looks of it,” it say in the message.
The camera then zooms in on Homer, who has his eyes fixed on the plate of food that is sitting on the armrest.
“But he’s really trying to get near that plate of food,” the second message explains.
TikTok users seemed quite entertained by Homer’s tactic of using snuggles to get closer to food. The video has been viewed 3.5 million times since being posted in late February, and it has received more than 1,000 comments.
“I love how smart pets actually are and how no one realizes it,” @auddbucc wrote in the comments section.
“There is a plan in motion….. it’s very slow motion, but it’s in motion,” @tylerrobbins619 added.
