James Corden Organized a Virtual Pet Gala as a Replacement to Met Gala

James Corden found a perfect way to help fashion enthusiasts deal with the cancellation of 2020 Met Gala. The Late Late Show decided to host a virtual gala but added an intriguing twist to it. Instead of showcasing the best fashion combinations of celebrities, he made pets the main star of the event.

In late April, Corden asked The Late Late Show viewers to take part in Pet Gala by submitting photos and videos of their pets dressed up according to this year’s Met Gala theme About Time: Fashion and Duration.

This coming Monday was supposed to be the Met Gala. However, it's been postponed, so we're hosting the first ever…

Fans of the show responded in an amazing way, sharing awesome footage of dogs, cats, and other animals in bold fashion creations.

Corden, who referred to some of the fashion combinations as “paws-atively stunning,” teamed up with Brad Goreski, an E! red carpet host, to provide a full-on commentary of the submissions.

While some pets were dressed according to the theme, others rocked more freestyle and occasionally bold choices. Regardless, all of them were incredibly adorable, so we definitely think Corden’s Pet Gala should be an annual event moving forward.
