When Kamryn Hart walked into a reptile store in 2019, she had no idea her life would be forever changed. She has taken care of many different reptiles since adopting her first bearded dragon five years ago, and she’s using the power of social media to share her knowledge with the world.
Hart has been keeping reptiles as a hobby since 2019, and she has come a long way since adopting her first pet. She was still a newbie with a lot to learn back in the day, but she’s now a true expert with thousands of followers on Instagram and TikTok.
“I walked into a pet store back then, looking to impulsively bring home a new scaley friend, and was promptly sent home with a bearded dragon… I improved my care from the bottom, which formed my passion in educating both new and old reptile keepers on the needs of their animals,” she writes on her official website.
Hart’s love for animals knows no bounds, and she decided to expand her knowledge of animal husbandry, science, and behavior by getting a degree in zoology. She graduated from Oregon State University in 2023, in addition to taking The Amphibian Foundation’s Husbandry & Captive Management certification to broaden her knowledge about reptiles.
