The ocean is in constant need of protection, and many artists are using their talent to raise awareness about marine conservation. Kelly Quinn is one of them, and her digital illustrations and acrylic paintings are a love letter to many fascinating creatures that inhabit the ocean.
Quinn was born and raised in Florida, and her upbringing in the Sunshine State-inspired her to fall in love with the ocean at a very young age.
“Growing up in a rural area surrounded by conservation land, she explored the world in search of interesting critters and captured them with paper and pencil, developing a passion for wildlife and art that continues to inspire her career today,” she wrote on her official website.
Quinn pursued her passion for art at the University of Florida College of Fine Arts and won several accolades after deciding to explore ocean conservation through her art. Her body of work covers everything from murals and acrylic paintings, but her digital illustrations found the biggest success.
In addition to running her own brand Kelly of the Wild, she’s also the co-founder of Canvas of the Wild. Most of her digital illustrations are created as a part of an educational campaign for this organization, and they celebrate the incredible diversity of the marine world.
