Henrique Muraro is a 6-year-old kid from Brazil. Henrique has some mobility issues and often uses a wheelchair. Last year, his doctor advised that the boy get a dog to encourage him to move around more to improve his motor skills. That’s when he got his loyal dog, named Pipo.

“One day my father’s cousin brought over Pipo,” Henrique’s older brother, Rodrigo Muraro, told The Dodo. “They became friends immediately and have been inseparable ever since. They spend all day together playing.”

The boy and his dog are inseparable except when Henrique is at school. But Pipo finds a sweet way to greet his best pal every time he gets home.

“Pipo started doing this all on his own,” Muraro explained. “He would always follow when my mother took Henrique to the bus [to] go to school, and then one day he just started running inside the bus when he saw it arrive. Now he does it every day.”

Pipo is not a trained service dog but his loving presence in Henrique’s life has been a great help. “Henrique’s motor skills have improved a lot,” Muraro shared, “and he’s much happier thanks to all of Pipo’s affection.”
