Man and His Dachshund Cover Popular Songs as Dog-Friendly Doorbell Performances

Mr. Wes and his dachshund Buddy might well be the next big music stars of TikTok. The duo is taking social media by storm thanks to their covers of popular songs.

We know what you think; TikTok is full of dogs and their owners singing songs and trying to make it. But there are a few things that make Mr. Wes and Buddy unique. First, their covers are reworked to be dog-friendly. Second, they perform in a strange location—in front of doorbell cameras.

One of Mr. Wes and Buddy’s most recent performances was a rendition of Estelle’s “American Boy.” But instead of being about traveling and boys, their version is really about one dachshund’s wish to go to the park.

Of course, Mr. Wes does all the singing, but you can’t underestimate Buddy’s contribution. The adorable dachshund often takes the spotlight in front of the camera and steals the show with his moves and facial expressions.

“This is the cutest thing ever,” one TikTok user wrote in the comment section of Mr. Wes and Buddy’s video.

So far, Mr. Wes and Buddy have covered Luis Fonsi’s “Despacito,” Merle Travis’ “Sixteen Tons,” and “Step Into Christmas” by Elton John, among other songs. Check more of their performances below.
