Man Builds a Small Restaurant For Wild Animals in His Backyard

Detroit-native James Vreeland recently decided to bring fine dining to the wildlife in his neighborhood.  He built an outdoor restaurant in his backyard that provides meals for squirrels, birds, and every other hungry animal.

Vreeland’s restaurant has all the traits of a high-end restaurant, including a fancy French name Maison du Noix (The Nut House) and a menu with all sorts of delicacies.

“We’ve been offering an opening course of a seed medley, followed by peanuts on the full shell, house-cut breadsticks, and a dessert of counter-softened apples,” Vreeland said in a recent interview.

According to Vreeland, the restaurant also attracts humans, who are intrigued by his creation.

“The response from humans has been pretty great with people stopping all the time to take a photo or watch the frenzy,” he added.
