Joey the Dogaroo is an adorable golden doggie born without his two front legs. He was rescued from the streets of Qatar when he was only 12 weeks old. When his now-mom Erica from No More Pain Rescue saw his picture, she knew right away that she needed to bring him to New York.
“Everyone that meets Joey thinks that he looks exactly like a kangaroo. Joey is a wild little man. He is so happy. Even though he doesn’t have his front legs, I don’t think he realizes it,” Erica told The Dodo and added that she didn’t plan on adopting him at first.
Soon, Erica decided to foster him, which turned out to be a huge failure. In the end, the doggo got adopted by his mom.
“I hope Joey’s future is full of happiness and health, and he lives a very long life. Every dog deserves a second chance at life. And I just hope to inspire someone to rescue a dog that needs it,” she said.
