Prince Otto is a fierce Chihuahua mix puppy who was born with backwards legs. When he came to his foster mom’s home, he weighed only one pound and had to be syringe fed every two hours.
“It was shocking when I got him. He was microscopic. He was smaller than my hand,” Melissa told The Dodo. “There’s just no plan that comes with animals like this.”
Despite his backwards legs, he didn’t feel like he was less important, on the contrary, he wanted to be a big boy, but he had to work hard so he could eat on his own.
“Oh, he taught me that looks don’t mean a thing. Nothing. He doesn’t know anything’s different about him. It doesn’t stop him at all. It looks different. But he’s no different than any of my other dogs. He is all dog. He’s got the biggest personality in a teeny, tiny body,” his foster mom added.
