Meet Ringo: The Goat Who Loves Headbutting His Dad

Ima Survivor Sanctuary is a non-profit organization which provides a safe haven for donkeys and other farm animals. It was formed after flooding from Hurricane Harvey and named after their lone surviving monkey, Ima Jean.

Located on a 100-acre ranch in Plum Grove, Texas, the Sanctuary has a variety of adorable animals. One of them is a goat called Ringo who loves headbutting his human dad every day.

“I have bruises up and down my legs and on my shins and my knees,” Ringo’s dad shared on The Dodo. “And I have to literally escape sometimes. He’s not trying to be mean. That’s just who he is. You know, he just loves to play. One day he can come up to you with his big old horns and just rub against your leg. You might get some loving or you might get rammed right in the kneecap.”

Even though Ringo has such a unique personality, his dad loves him very much.

“There’s nothing about him that I would trade,” he added. “Even though he seems to be a little rough around the edges for most folks, not with this guy. I love him just the way he is.”
