Moon Creatures’ opulent and bizarre creations are a love letter to insects, and they get to be preserved forever through her art. In addition to insects, her art involves the use of ornate frames, winding branches, crystals, moss, and lichens, and they perfectly come together to create something truly breathtaking.
Sofie is dedicated to keeping her art as ethical and sustainable as possible, and she’s using specimens sourced from nearby insect farms.
“The specimens are sustainably sourced from farms dedicated to their life and preservation. A majority of the specimens are released into their natural habitat to live out their full lifespan and help to re-populate and preserve the species,” reads Moon Creatures’ official website.
