This is the story about Phin, an adopted cat with a condition called cerebellar hypoplasia, a disorder where the part of his brain that coordinates movement never fully developed. Fortunately, he is not in pain, and according to his owners, Phin is a food-loving kitty with a big personality.
“At first, we just thought he was a really cute kitten, and it really wasn’t until we saw that he had special needs that we realized we had the ability to really form a special bond with this cat,” Phin’s owner told The Dodo. “He has a massive personality!”
They even have a nickname for him; they started calling him “Chief Inspector Phin” because he inspects all of the food that they are eating.
“Almost everything that we’re eating,” he added, “he thinks smells really gross. But he wants to smell it, anyway.”
